The stable complex comprises 32 purpose built stables with 2 foaling boxes. Each stable is 12' x 12' and offers ample height even for the larger horse. The two foaling boxes are 16' x 12' giving plenty of room for both mare and foal. They also benefit from CCTV. All stables benefit from automatic water drinkers. We have six separate tack rooms which are alarmed. These light airy stables are the traditional English type used across the UK often in large professional yards as well as private situations too.
From our own experience we have found these stables and wooden loose boxes in general to be well insulated and lovely and warm in the winter - much warmer than equivalent brick or concrete stables. All these factors combine to provide a most agreeable stable environment which, in turn, contributes to a less stressed and more comfortable lifestyle promoting the general well being of the horse.

We obviously don't want to publish too much about our security systems but suffice to say, in this respect, we really are able to accommodate special horses. Activity in the yard, access, paddocks and other areas are monitored and recorded by CCTV. Other areas are alarmed and observed using different security technologies.
We also offer 24 hour supervision with a qualified member of staff available at all times.
Pentland House Stables uses only the best haylage for horses. This is bought in from reputable feed specialists. In either case we won't compromise on quality.
Our standard here is high quality dust extracted shavings, which are produced specifically for horses. For our mare and foal box when the time comes we provide straw bedding.
